After more than 13 years of working with Tom Hanks' team across multiple projects, I asked for something that had never been done before: a social post from Tom Hanks himself promoting one of his own films. He had never posted on his channels to promote a project. Not once.
It became one of his most liked posts across all platforms.
At the same time, art directed and produced an original stop-motion mural with influential street artists @muckrock near the Venice Boardwalk with Tom Hanks as Mister Rogers, designed to stop people in their tracks, inspire selfies, and earn organic press coverage leading into the holiday release.
Two activations. One film. Both built on deep relationships and the kind of trust you can only earn by showing up consistently and respecting artists.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do in this industry is know who to ask, know how to ask, and have earned the privilege to do just that.
