Awkward Family Photos

California Heritage Museum · Experiential · Social · Co-Curator

Brought the internet's most beloved photo platform off the internet and into a museum. The concept was simple: humanistic, relatable, and universally funny. The execution was anything but simple.

Co-curated the exhibit at the California Heritage Museum, produced a custom Giphy photo booth for making new awkward memories on the spot, and built a press and marketing campaign that earned international coverage from GMA, Today Show, NBC Nightly News, Time, and People Magazine.

Millions of earned media impressions. National touring exhibit. The most relatable art show in history.

After years of big studio campaigns and Hollywood releases, co-curating a museum exhibit that made people laugh and cry and call their moms turned out to be one of the most rewarding things I've ever worked on.
