SAG-AFTRA / Fran Drescher

2023 Hollywood Strike · Social Strategy · Content Capture & Production

In the summer of 2023, Hollywood stopped. The WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes were the biggest industry work stoppage in decades and the stakes for every working creative could not have been higher, including myself.

Being chosen by SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher to serve as her direct social media advisor and capture front line content during one of the most scrutinized media moments in recent Hollywood history was one of the greatest honors of my career.

I filmed Martin Sheen, Kerry Washington, Rachel Brosnahan, Ron Perlman, and union members side by side on the picket lines. No hierarchy. No studio politics. Just working people standing together for the same cause. It was one of the most humbling experiences of my life.

I wrote member toolkits and strategy decks. Coordinated unified messaging across channels. Made sure every voice, from the A-list to the day player, was heard.

After years of working on both sides of the studio gate, being on those lines felt like the most important campaign of my career. Not because of the reach or the impressions or the results.

Because it was real. And I was proud to be on the front lines of history.
